Bridge Resource Management

Course Summary:

This course provides training to the Officer In Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW) in an attempt to bring together the good practice of seafarers with the aim of improving navigational safety and protection of the marine environment ensuring maintenance of safe navigational watch at all times. Any student successfully completing this course, including successful demonstration of all practical assessments, will satisfy the Bridge Resource Management training.

Prerequisites:

Demonstrate basic skill and knowledge requirements of bridge teamwork procedures and plan a brief  simulated voyage in a navigation laboratory working as a team.

Any student successfully completing this course,including successful demonstration of all practical assessments, will satisfythe Bridge Resource Management training requirements of 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4)(vii);11.319(a)(4)(vii); 11.321(A)(3)(iv).
