The first commercially released version of AutoCAD, introduced in December 1982, was a four-color, two-sided drafting application. Throughout the 1980s, it evolved into a multi-user, multi-platform (Windows, Macintosh, and Unix) computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application, with continuing evolution into a graphical model-based, task-oriented software product. From its inception, it was the first native, multi-user, multi-platform CAD product.
AutoCAD has the distinction of being the first significant commercial CAD product to be sold as a subscription product, making it one of the world’s most successful software products in history. In addition to the desktop version of AutoCAD, there are other desktop (such as AutoCAD LT) and mobile versions (AutoCAD Lite and AutoCAD Mobile); AutoCAD Web and AutoCAD LT Web; AutoCAD 360 and AutoCAD LT 360; and AutoCAD LT for iPhone. AutoCAD 360 and AutoCAD LT 360 offer a service which combines the ability to view AutoCAD models at various scales on the Internet with the same features of the desktop software in a mobile app. AutoCAD LT for iPhone, developed in partnership with the iPhone company Apple Inc., adds iPhone functionality and 3D modeling capability to AutoCAD LT, which runs on a computer.
Computer-aided design (CAD) is a process for designing, developing and analyzing the 3D shapes of objects using a computer and specialized software. With CAD, the designer uses a mouse and keyboard to draw the desired shapes with the aid of a computer. At a later stage, the designer may develop the design into a solid model using numerical values. These values are stored in a CAD database.
Modern CAD software is an evolution of vector graphics. It uses a system of coordinates based on the mathematics of vector space, which allows a point in space to be calculated from the combination of multiple other points, called vectors. In other words, a point can be defined using two or more vectors. In addition to vector graphic images, CAD programs also support the presentation of images as images, with adjustments such as rotation and color change.
The functions of CAD software range from basic 2D drafting functions to 3D modeling, 3D solid modeling, and visual effects (such as transparency, reflection, and refraction). A particular CAD program may have one or more
AutoCAD is a video game available from Autodesk. Autodesk VideoCAD was first released in 1994 and is still available today as AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD WS.
Inventor is a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software product from Autodesk. It was first released in 1995. It is a computer-based mechanical design and simulation tool.
Navisworks is a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software product from Autodesk. It was first released in 1998.
Rational Rose is a collaboration and sharepoint based tool made by Autodesk. It allows users to work together in a variety of projects using a variety of modern computing techniques.
Map3D. It is an Autodesk Map data management software released in 2001, then included in AutoCAD 2010.
Morph3D is a free-to-use AutoCAD module. Morph3D allows users to manipulate and render 3D objects and scenes.
AutoCAD-Suite is a suite of software designed to support the general-purpose 2D and 3D drafting functions of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and StructureCAD.
AutoCAD 2012 was introduced in March 2009, and a demo was released in May 2009.
AutoCAD 2012 includes the following new features:
Advanced functions: New and revised capabilities, including the new option to view and edit drawings in a virtual 3D environment.
Applications and data exchange: The main new function is PDF support for exporting a drawing into PDF format, for use with Adobe Acrobat reader and Adobe InDesign.
Editable graphical symbols, such as spline curves: New functions in Editable Graphical Symbols allow users to define custom shapes and curves, which can be edited using an alternative representation on screen, rather than the traditional palette.
Full-color lighting and shadows: Support for a new full-color surface lighting and shadowing technology.
Enhanced multi-threading: Multi-threaded performance for faster rendering and smoother tool switching.
Dynamic properties and live properties: Dynamic properties allow properties to be edited and updated in real time
Scan your model and then import the SCAD file.
You will then be able to calculate the edge normals.
Once you get that information, you can use it to create your own plugins.
Autodesk may provide free access to a Subversion client called Sourcegear
Subversion Edge, as well as its own version of Subversion, SVN Edge,
that is designed to be more efficient.
This is a free trial version, as Autodesk Subversion Edge is not free.
The download file includes a license agreement.
After installing the subversion client you can use it to access
different versions of the software, and to report bugs.
[Lymphography in the treatment of lymphocele].
Lymphocele is a complication of lymph node dissection. This complication occurs in 12% of cases, and is the most common complication in breast cancer surgery. The most popular treatment for this complication is surgical marsupialization of the cyst. The aim of this study was to evaluate the success of marsupialization for the treatment of symptomatic lymphocele. From September 1990 to April 2000, 30 patients with breast cancer who developed symptomatic lymphocele were treated with marsupialization. All patients had distention of the surgical wound, and pain, edema, and lymphocele measured by sonography. On clinical examination, the mean size of the lymphocele was 18 mm. For diagnosis, a lymphogram was performed in 29 patients, and 27 of these showed reflux of contrast into the lymphocele. When the lymphocele was asymptomatic, marsupialization was performed. When the lymphocele was symptomatic, marsupialization was performed after local compression of the wound with cottonoid material. All 30 patients were followed up for a mean period of 33 months. The postoperative pain was significantly decreased. The cosmetic result was good or excellent in 27 patients. The mean size of the lymphocele was 12.6 mm postoperatively. The overall success rate of marsupialization of symptomatic lymphocele was 100%. A good cosmetic result was achieved in 83.3% of the patients. Lymphography is mandatory to determine the success of marsupialization of symptomatic lymphocele.Vegetarian. History. Food.
