Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.
AutoCAD is a bitmap-based, point-based and polygon-based solid modeling application that enables architects, engineers, drafters, and many other types of designers to produce graphics and layouts in a wide variety of drawing styles. Users can create parametric objects such as those in 3D modeling applications such as Maya, ArchiCAD, and Sketchup, and can perform basic topology operations.
Use the ” Download and Install ” button and the app will be installed to the default location. This app is tested on Windows 8.1 x64, Windows 10 x64, Windows 10 x32, and Windows 7 x64.
Read below to learn about AutoCAD features and how it can help you enhance your workflow.
AutoCAD features Overview
There are many kinds of CAD applications, including drafting and design software, parametric modelers, surface modeling tools, and technical drafting applications. Among the most popular applications in the industry are VectorWorks, Inventor, SketchUp, Revit, and Solidworks, but AutoCAD is also popular. AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop application running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal.
Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD is a bitmap-based, point-based and polygon-based solid modeling application that enables architects, engineers, drafters, and many other types of designers to produce graphics and layouts in a wide variety of drawing styles. Users can create parametric objects such as those in 3D modeling applications such as Maya, ArchiCAD, and Sketchup, and can perform basic topology operations.
For such a capable CAD tool, AutoCAD’s price is a bit low. There are 3 versions of AutoCAD, each priced differently. As of this writing, the Standard version is $999, the Advanced version is $1999, and the Ultimate version is $1099. For a typical student, a competent technician, and a small, medium, and large-sized company, the price is probably worth it.
Most importantly, AutoCAD is easy to use. Although the learning curve is a bit steep for beginners, once you’re familiar with it, learning how to use the program is very simple
AutoCAD on Demand
AutoCAD on Demand is an offering by Autodesk that allows users to purchase access to AutoCAD software via the Internet. The price per user is US$199.99 for each AutoCAD title, but if the user is a salaried employee of a company, they can purchase an AutoCAD subscription with two users for US$299.99 per month.

Use the Autocad Keygen to find your Autocad product key.
Some Licenses use both online activation and CD key.
First, I’d like to say that I’m a big fan of the Autodesk products and the community who worked so hard to support this product. I’m just saying that while I do not have access to the CD key, I do have Autocad running on a version I’m not allowed to talk about (I’m posting this anonymously on this site because of the rules from Autodesk).
I have Autodesk Technical support and Autodesk sales team saying that my license is valid as it is. They are not able to unlock my license using the CD key or my Activation email because they said the serial number was not in their database.
Anyways, I want to work on features that make my life easier when creating models with AutoCAD. My life isn’t easy in this profession. I have a full time job where I work from home. I do my work at night and on the weekends, and never work on the same CAD program for more than 12 hours at a time.
I do a lot of tweaking of my AutoCAD files so they open faster, I have them organized in a folder structure so they’re easily browsable and manageable, and I do a lot of work on line and use filters. I do a lot of work on the SDX file format and have created some plugins. I wrote some plugins that create profiles for my models, and I create profiles for the filters that I use.
I have the activation key online and it’s always present in the upper left hand corner of my AutoCAD file window.
This is just to help out a fellow modeler and to try and get AutoCAD to work with my license. I would really like to get access to the CD key, so that I don’t have to activate online every time I open Autocad.
I’d really like to get a hold of the CD key and install my Autocad file.
Thanks for your time!
I have activated my license on Windows 10 Pro but I get this error and I don’t know how to go about unlocking it.
For licensing reasons, Autodesk is unable to provide you with any additional license information for this product.
Visual Linking and Visual Copy:
With Visual Linking, you can easily open a copy of a part, a member, a drawing, or a database in a second drawing, and edit them at the same time. And with Visual Copy, you can copy a member with all the linked drawings or a specific drawing type. (video: 2:33 min.)
