This course aims to provide knowledge to those who may be
designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a
Vessel Security Officer (VSO), a Company Security Officer (CSO),
or a Facility Security Officer (FSO) as defined in 33 Code of
Federal Regulations (CFR), Chapter 1, Subchapter H, and the
Maritime Transportation Security Act (MSTA) of 2002, and in
particular the duties and responsibilities with respect to the
security of the vessel or facility, for implementing and
maintaining a Vessel Security Plan (VSP) or a Facility Security
Plan (FSP), and for liaising with the Vessel Security Officer (VSO),
Company Security Officer (CSO), and Facility Security Officer (FSO).
