This course is intended for mariners seeking their US Coast Guard
license as a Designated Duty Engineer (DDE) of unlimited
horsepower. The course is self-paced and prepares mariners for
their examinations at a US Coast Guard Regional Examination Center
(REC). Prior approval by the US Coast Guard of a mariner’s
application for this license is recommended prior to commencing
the course.
