Course Details:

This course is a license preparation course designed to prepare mariners to pass a US Coast Guard general subjects examination for license as a deck officer serving as Master or Mate on inspected vessels operating on Inland or Near Coastal waters. Preparation is provided with topics such as vessel stability, ship construction, weather, cargo handling and stowage, manning requirements, pollution, and use of the CFR’s. Mariners taking this course should be pre-approved by the US Coast Guard for the level of license they are preparing for.

Examination:

Examinations for these licenses are administered by the US Coast Guard at a Regional Examination Center.
