Course Details:

This course is a license preparation course designed to prepare mariners to pass a US Coast Guard examination for license as a deck officer serving as Master or Mate on uninspected fishing vessels operating on Inland or Near Coastal waters. Preparation is provided in navigation and piloting, navigation general, deck general, safety, and rules of the road. Mariners taking this course should be pre-approved by the US Coast Guard for the level of license they are preparing for.

Examinations for these licenses are administered by the US Coast Guard at a Regional Examination Center.
